“Mobility Initiatives for Local Integration and Sustainability”

EGNSS technologies used to reduce the exploitation costs and to improve efficiency and reliability of the service of urban public transports.

photo 202The innovative aspects of the measure are linked with the use of new GNSS (Egnos signal /Galileo).
This measure aims at proving that Innovative GNSS technologies will contribute to reduce the
exploitation costs (operation & maintenance) and to improve efficiency and reliability of the service to the users by reducing the number of electronic equipments on board the buses and deploying GNSS terminals (Galileo & EGNOS) on board all the buses potentially assisted by additional external data computed by a dedicated control centre.
-> better accuracy, improved availability, better continuity of service, integrity and guarantee of services.
